Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Gishwati–Mukura
Travellers arrive in Kigali and are guided through a brief city orientation before heading northwest to Gishwati–Mukura National Park. An afternoon forest walk introduces the regenerating ecosystem. Overnight at Gishwati Lodge or similar eco-lodge overlooking the forest canopy.
Gishwati Primate & Forest Walks, Transfer to Akagera
The morning is spent observing L’Hoest’s monkeys, blue monkeys, and forest birds with expert guides. After lunch, the journey continues east to Akagera National Park. Arrival is followed by relaxation at Ruzizi Tented Lodge, Akagera Game Lodge, or Magashi Camp for a luxury option.
Full-Day Game Drive in Akagera
A full-day safari reveals elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, rhinos, and abundant birdlife. Scenic lakes and open plains create a classic East African savannah feel. Overnight at the same lodge.
Boat Safari & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
