Arrival in Kigali

Travellers arrive in Kigali and are introduced to Rwanda’s cultural and historical heritage with optional visits depending on arrival time. Overnight at Hotel des Mille Collines, Kigali Serena Hotel, or Heaven Boutique Hotel.

Kigali to Gishwati–Mukura Forest

After breakfast, the route leads northwest to Gishwati–Mukura National Park. An afternoon forest walk introduces the park’s recovering biodiversity, including L’Hoest’s monkeys, blue monkeys, and diverse birdlife. Overnight at Gishwati Lodge or a similar eco-lodge.

Gishwati Primate & Nature Experiences

Morning primate and birding walks offer deeper insight into the park’s conservation regeneration. Afternoon relaxation or optional community encounters complete the day. Overnight at the same lodge.

Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
